this medication |
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors, including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine you are taking, talk with your health care provider. This medication can be taken with or without food. Do not stop taking this medicine or change the dose without checking with your health care provider. This could have serious adverse effects. If lightheadedness, dizziness, fainting, dry mouth, drowsiness or weakness occurs while taking this medication, contact your health care provider immediately. This medication may cause dizziness, lightheadedness or fainting, especially when rising or standing. If these symptoms should occur, sit or lie down and contact your health care provider. Use caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination or physical dexterity. Avoid alcohol and other medicines that may cause drowsiness (such as benzodiazepines, baclofen) while you are taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are taking an oral contraceptive. Your doctor may have to adjust the dose of this medicine. Lab tests or exams may be required to monitor treatment. Be sure to keep appointments. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking this medication. Do not take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking with your doctor.

Every medicine can cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if any of the following occurs: Severe- Yellowing of the skin or eyes; hallucinations; increased muscle spasm;severe allergic reaction. Common- Dry mouth; drowsiness; sedation; weakness; fatigue; tiredness; dizziness;slow heartbeat; urinary tract infection; constipation. Other- Vomiting; speech disorder; blurred vision; frequent urination; flu symptoms;difficulty moving; nervousness; sore throat; runny nose.

| missed dosage |
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
